Part 1139: Operational Report: 18/01/45

We invade Legaspi – this time with combat troops!



The Japanese try for the Enterprise again, but only throw away a load more planes.



They try for the invasion force in the afternoon. Two planes make it through the CAP, and of course, one of those hits a CVE.



Our tanks south of Davao are backed up with infantry now, so their assault does a lot more damage to the weakened Japanese forces.







A poor day for us over Maebashe – only 18,000 fires.







The Japanese throw themselves at our men once more, but all they can do is take out a tank. They are weakening themselves before my main assault. Its helpful!



The first division reaches Rahaeng, but needs to rest up before making any more attacks – the second division should be arriving in a day or two.









So we have a proper force ashore now, so lets see what we can do at Legaspi.
